The same moment, three ways
Leaving the house
You lock the door.
A habit, done without much thought.
- Times checked
- 0
- Reassurance asked
- No
Most people, step 1 of 3. Leaving the house. You lock the door. A habit, done without much thought.
A made-up everyday example. The line is illustrative. Practice is not about proving the doubt wrong, and Salim never offers reassurance.
What’s inside
Help in the moment
Quick Reset takes 30 seconds or 2 minutes: recognise, allow, resist, return. Breathing and grounding are there for when you need them.
Practice, at your pace
Exposure with response prevention, step ladders and a slow plan for long-standing avoidance. Plus small ways to wait out, shrink or swap an urge, across 10 kinds of compulsion.
See your own loop
Explore 13 OCD themes and map your own loop in Trial Mode. The 10 short drills work for any theme.
Understand the patterns
9 patterns explained with fictional examples, a decision map, and an optional 50-question Pattern check.
Faith, if you want it
An optional lens adds Qur’an and Sahih hadith reflections, with sources and never rulings. Every tool works without it, and you can switch it off.
Private by design
Your account holds your email and billing, never your thoughts. There are no streaks, scores or rewards: Salim is built to be needed less.

Meet Limu
A small otter who keeps you company in the corner. Limu reacts to what you are doing and helps you practise sitting with uncertainty. It never gives reassurance, it never opens itself, and everything it knows stays on your device.

What Salim is built on, and what it isn’t
The practice tools follow the principles of exposure and response prevention (ERP), the kind of CBT that NICE recommends for OCD. One tool, Trace the chain, is inspired by inference-based CBT.
Salim is self-help, not therapy. It is not a diagnosis, it has not been clinically validated, and it is not a crisis service. It points you to urgent help and to NHS Talking Therapies, and it is meant to sit alongside professional care, not replace it.
Questions
Will I be charged without realising?
No. You see the exact date your free month ends, and what happens next, before you confirm anything, and Stripe’s checkout shows the same. Creating an account takes no payment.
What happens to what I type?
It stays in your browser’s memory on your device. It is never stored or sent, and it disappears when you close the page. The account holds your email and billing details, nothing you write in the tools.
How do I cancel?
Open Your account and choose “Cancel subscription”. It takes you to Stripe’s secure portal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already had, and you are not charged again.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, from Your account, in one step. It cancels any subscription straight away, with no further payments, and removes your sign-in and profile.
Is this therapy, or a crisis service?
Neither. Salim is educational self-help. If you are in danger, call 999. Urgent help is always free and needs no account.
Does it work for my kind of OCD?
Salim explores several common themes, and the practice works the same way across them: noticing the urge, not giving in to the ritual, and letting the discomfort pass. It cannot tell you a feared thing could never happen.
Do I need to be Muslim?
No. Every tool works without any religious content. The faith lens is optional, and you can switch it off in Settings.
Ready when you are. Your first month is free.
